Hi dreamers!
Are you ready for the third post of this blog? Well… This has been my last holiday week before the start with my new job as a software tester.
This will be the second job of my life and I’m excited to be part of this new company. These weeks have been a good way to recharge batteries and organize the following year.
On top of all my target for 2022 there is improve my English, absolutely! Then I have to publish at least a game. At the moment I’m finishing a good online course of Unity 3D of GameDev.tv. I had yet finish another course of 2D and I’m very happy on what I learned. On my schedule, in January I have to finish a book that I’ve started in October: The Art of Game Design: A Book of Lenses by Jesse Schell. I love that book. Is very useful in order to have a more structured idea about Game Desing. As I mentioned in #1491 I love to play video games, and I started to think more deep in the game design some years ago, using logic and nothing else. Finally with this book I have created a useful, practice and solid mind map of game design. I recommend it!
Arkham Horror
Just a week ago, in #1492 I said this:
I’m not a fan of board games and card games. I feel to wasting time playing that […]
Wait… I think is still true, but…
After some days I realize that is a bug of my mind. I don’t know why I feel to wasting time, but it makes no sense! So I started to scrolling pages and pages of Amazon to find a board game with some logic, some theme that can be good enough to be bought.
Ta daaan! Arkham Horror. I a big fan of Lovecraft. Almost every night I fall asleep listen some audiobook of his tales. I’m very obsessed by horror stories. So… I thought that could have been a good start.
Not so bad! I like this game! In this week I played two times: One with my girlfriend and another alone. Why only two times? Because the game lasted too long, unfortunately (we had to learn the rules)…
I planned to play at least once a week but it is not a duty.
Home Gym
Last (but not least) FINALLY We’re done to set up our home gym! Crossfit is one of my favourite hobby (not exactly a real-nerd activity…) and in recent months I couldn’t training.
So, in this 2022 I want to start again with workouts and be consistent.
This is the last one. I think there is a lot of work to do in this 2022.
I’m ready, and you?
