Hi dreamers!

Here we are… Forth week in a row of blog. I’m very proud of myself!

Today a want to talk about the start of my new job, the end of the online courses and the begin of my real first project of videogame!

New Job

This was my first week. I’m really happy about the team. I feel that is a nice place where continue my story. I’ve a lot to learn, but my ready!

About Learning

I’m very excited! My yearly plan said that I should have started with programming not before February, but I really smash January plan, so… I decide to begin. No time to lose, dreamers!

I still have to finish The Art of Game Design: A Book of Lenses that I’ve mentioned in the last week’s post, but there’s still time for that.

I’m done completely the 3D Unity online course of Rick Davidson (gamedev.tv) and I started with another that is not in my yearly plan but is very useful in my context: Unity C# Mobile games development. It contains a lot of information about the release in the mobile stores, monetization, etc.

My super secret project

I don’t want to talk a lot about my project for now. At the moment is a little game loop without story, very poor graphics. Not so excited in overview but… as a game loop is quite funny, I presume.

I’m alone in this coding / design adventure but with me are Matteo and Nicolò (Pic for friends) who help me with alpha (alpha) testing.

My idea about this project is to create a well documentation about the process of creation of it. The problems, bugs, ideas, design and more.

I’m sorry that I can’t show you this creation at the moment but I can reveal the theme. I leave you here something.

A clue of theme of my first mobile game

A though about Russell Lees

Just two words about Russell. He passed away few days ago. He was a narrative designer, well known in the industry, even here in Italy some news sites of games reported the news.

I’m honest, I don’t know a lot the work of Russell specifically, but I’m very close to the Narrative Design as role of the industry. I like a lot to write stories, since I was 10 I took my dad’s pc, opened Word and started to write down little stories.

So, I’m so sorry about this, but I wish to leave you a line of Ernest Hemingway:

No one you love is ever truly lost.

See you next week.
